A couple weekends ago I decided my room had been messy for too long. I know the end of the year is quickly approaching (with all the pressures of final projects, clinical hours, and tests) so I contemplating packing up a few things. Instead, I found myself completely reorganizing and redecorating my room. You know what I decided? It was a good decision. Why? Because it helped me relax a little bit, it was a type of therapy if you will. When I was all done I had a nice, clean room that I could get work done in. The thought of redecorating at the end of the year might sound weird, but it tricked me into thinking it wasn’t crunch time. It made me feel refreshed and at ease. Anyways, I think everyone should try it.

I rearranged the things on my dresser. That is a hand painted piggy bank, my jewelry box, a collage, a picture with an optimist creed, a picture of Matt at Westpoint
and a funny picture I found in a magazine.

This is the magazine pic. It says "you grow up the day you have your first real laugh at yourself". I'm not sure I've had that true moment yet.

Next to my dresser is my desk area. I have a framed poem my boyfriend wrote me cuz I'm corny like that, a letter "C" from Anthropoligie, my necklace display, a random purse painting that I've had since high school, a corkboard I covered in wrapping paper, and a mug i use as a pencil holder.

This is the cork board. Isn't it cute/ the wrapping paper was from the dollar store and it's made of recycled materials. The picture was reused from the frame I put my bf's poem in. Then I added a weird looking drawing of a lacrosse player that my friend drew me

Here's my necklace display

This shot includes my bed. And that pretty much sums up my side of the room.
